This biomedical and biomechanical expert spent over 15 years as a Professor at Johns Hopkins University and over 20 years as a member of their Applied Physics Laboratory. He has worked in biomedical implant analysis and design, materials biomechanics, and laminated composite analysis and design. He earned a B.S and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan, as well as a Ph.D. in the same field from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. The expert was named a Fellow in the American Society of Mechanical Engineers in 2010 and was selected as the Specialty Chief Editor of the Frontiers online journal Biomechanics in 2013. He has extensive experience in the design of piping, duct, mechanical, plumbing and fire protection systems for new and retrofit commercial and institutional buildings.
