Natural gas Expert Witnesses

This expert is the Chair in Petroleum and Natural Gas Economics at a major university in the western US. He is an internationally trusted scholar of environmental and resource economics, having served as the managing editor of the top global journal in this field. His current research interests include modeling prices for crude oil and natural gas, the role of delivery infrastructure in natural gas markets, and motivations to hold fossil fuel stockpiles. He holds a BA and PhD in Economics from the University of California at Berkeley; he wrote his doctoral dissertation on the role of regulation and information in the American uranium industry.

He is an advisory board member of GasPro Americas and the Gas to Liquid Technology Forum. Formerly, this expert has served various roles in the gas industry such as an Energy Consultant for Purvin & Gertz, a Gas Plants Manager for Hess Corporation, a VP at NextEra Energy Resources, and a Gas Processing Instructor at John M. Campbell & Co. Currently, he is a Director and Managing Partner for an energy consulting firm.

This active consulting petroleum engineer has extensive experience in the drilling, completion, and operational planning on hundreds of vertical and horizontal wells. He earned his BS in Petroleum Engineering Technology from Oklahoma State University and began his career with Chevron. He then worked as a Drilling Rep & Production Engineer for Mesa Petroleum Co. and as a Operations Manager for Foran Oil Co. The expert spent 23 years with Read & Stevens, where he eventually served as President. During this time, he oversaw 200 operated wells producing 4,400 BOE per day and numerous nonoperated properties.

This oil and gas accounting expert is a certified public accountant in Pennsylvania and a graduate of Washington & Jefferson College, where he earned his BA in accounting. He began his career in the Pittsburgh Assurance & Advisory Services practice of Deloitte & Touche LLP, working on public and private engagements in the energy, financial, and manufacturing sectors. The expert went on to establish his own public accounting and oil and gas consulting firm and currently specializes in the valuation of oil and gas assets, oil and gas management/advisory services, and tax and estate planning. He is a certified minerals manager, a member of the Council of Petroleum Accountants Society, and the treasurer of the National Association of Royalty Owners.

This qualified expert of Maritime Operations has over 25+ years of experience in the industry. He obtained his BS in Nautical Science at the Maine Maritime Academy Castine. He is a certified Master USCG and has a Liberian Unlimited License, and is currently a Captain for a Major Drilling and Rigging Company.

This expert has over 35 years of experience working with natural gas and operator qualifications. He received his BS in organizational leadership from the University of Indianapolis and his MBA from Anderson University. Additionally, he received two associates degrees, one in manufacturing technology and one in electronics. He completed additional courses in cathodic protection at Purdue University and benchmarking and best practice at the Midwest Energy Association. This expert holds several certifications, which include SIF operator qualifications trainer and evaluator, fire and explosion investigator, and project management professional. He worked for Citizens Energy Group for nearly 40 years in a variety of roles. He began as a laborer, eventually moving on to hold the positions of the training and operator qualifications supervisor, gas operations field administrator, and customer field services manager. He also taught as an adjunct instructor in project management and data management at the University of Indianapolis for several years and was a sergeant in the United States Marine Corps. Currently, this expert serves as a consultant for a natural gas incident consultancy in Indiana.
