This highly qualified expert oversees research on the wind resistance of asphalt shingles. He received a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering at the University of Florida. He is a member of the American Association for Wind Engineering. He has published numerous peer-reviewed journal articles on the subject of asphalt shingles including the effects of wind and other environmental factors on the material. He is currently a forensic engineering specialist. Their analysis of construction and design practice is based on Code and industry standards and they have provided over $220 million worth of repair and rehabilitation correcting deficient construction and design issues. This expert holds a bachelor degree in Environmental Design and a masters in Architecture from the University of Colorado, and is a member of the American Institute of Architects. As a forensic architect, he performs standard of care analysis in design and construction projects, with special emphasis on multi-family residential projects; performs cause and origin analysis of building system installations and failures, including roofing systems, window and door systems, exterior wall cladding systems, waterproofing, and foundation systems, with a specialization in fire-resistive assemblies and active fire-protection systems; performs premises liability analysis including slip/trip and fall, and maintenance procedure analysis, with an emphasis on accessibility code compliance; and performs damage assessments on existing facilities related to storms, accidents, fire, and natural disasters.

This information technology expert has 20+ years of experience in the field. She formerly worked as a computer network specialist for FEMA and the Director of the Forensic Lab at Computer Forensics Associates. A member of the High Technology Crime Investigation Association, she currently owns and operates a full service digital forensics firm. For over 20 years this expert has designed, spec'd, built, and operated networks that have been primarily run by switches, routers, firewalls and other Cisco equipment. His work has allowed him the pleasure of building traditional telephony, IP telephony, video, enterprise and datacenter networks that have each supported thousands of endpoints and servers. In two cases the networks have been global, the largest of which stretched across seven data centers and twelve voice Points of Presence (POPs) on five continents. In all cases, he was primarily responsible for design, configuration and maintenance of the underlying network equipment.

This expert has over 25 years of experience in architecture. He received his BA and MS in architecture from Tulane University and is a licensed architect in eight states. He is also a Haag certified inspector in residential and commercial roofing as well as wind damage. He is active in his field as a member of the American Institute of Architects, a past president of AIA Idaho, and a member of the U.S. Green Building Council. Throughout his career, he has performed over 300 commercial and residential roof inspections for weather-caused damage including single-ply, metal, built-up, asphalt shingle and cedar shake roofs. Currently, he is a forensic architect with an architecture firm in Idaho.
