He received his M.D. from Hadassah Medical School and finished fellowships at the University of Southern California and the University of California in Los Angeles. He is board certified in Internal Medicine with a subspecialty in Cardiovascular Diseases. Elected as a Fellow of the American Heart Association, he serves on the review panel for various journals including the "American Journal of Cardiology" and the "Journal of the American College of Cardiology". He currently serves as Professor of Medicine and Medical Director for a heart clinic at a major university medical center.

He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC), and is fully certified in echocardiography with a Diplomate in adult comprehensive echocardiography as well as Fellowship of the American Society of Echocardiography (FASE). This is the highest level of recognition in the field of echocardiography. His area of expertise includes 3-Dimensional echocardiography and he has been an editorial board member for 3D echocardiography for the ASE. In addition to board certification in cardiac CT and nuclear cardiology, he has Level 3 training in advanced cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (CMR).

He is currently a Professor of Pediatrics in the Department of Cardiology at one of the nation's top university medical centers. Additionally, he serves as Director of Pediatric Electrophysiology, Co-founding Director of the Dysautonomia Center at one nation's most prestigious children's hospitals, and an attending Pediatric Cardiologist. He has been celebrated with numerous awards, including top doctor three years in a row in one of the US's largest cities. He has numerous publications on the subject of pediatric cardiac care and has been invited to present at various professional clinical meetings and conferences.
