Attorney Expert Witnesses

This expert is fully qualified and equipped with knowledge regarding laws on ethics. He has been qualified as an expert previously. He was the former vice chair, and currently a member, of the Professional Ethics Committee of the Nassau County Bar Association. In addition to his legal practices, he also travels throughout the state to various law schools and other legal associations as lecturer on ethics and civility. Furthermore, he has many publications on the topic of morality, ethics, and the law. He has defended hundreds of lawyers, judges and law students facing disciplinary and licensing problems.

This expert is an internationally recognized human resources expert and is a trained Ohio Drug Free Workplace trainer. She earned a JD from Taft Law School and a MBA from York College of Pennsylvania. She is well published on human resources issues, specifically relating to employment practices. She has served as the HR Vice President or Director for a number of large, for-profit and non-profit corporations and is currently the head of Human Resources for a major psychiatric institution.

This highly qualified attorney earned her BS in Business Administration from Georgetown University and her JD from the University of Chicago Law School. She writes about and researches issues related to corporate compliance, drawing on scholarship from the areas of professional ethics, corporate governance, employment law, and corporate social responsibility. She is currently an associate professor of law at a top midwestern law school. Before joining the law school faculty, this expert was a clerk on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and an attorney at Gibson Dunn in Washington, D.C.

This board-certified expert has been practicing law for 36 years with 24 of those years including legal malpractice. Recognized by Who's Who in American Law and by Best Lawyers in America, he is a Diplomate and Board Certified in Legal Malpractice by the American Board of Professional Liability Attorneys. He currently is an attorney in his own practice, specializing in legal malpractice, in addition to authoring the New York Attorney Malpractice Blog and being an Outside Counsel Columnist for the New York Law Journal.

This highly qualified attorney has been studying legal ethics for over 40 years. He earned his BA cum laude from Carleton University, his LLB summa cum laude from the Université de Sherbrooke, and his LLM from Yale Law School. Additionally, he was Columbia University's Law and Economics Fellow in 1981. Before coming to the US and entering academia, he served as a law clerk for a member of Canada's Supreme Court. He also served for five years on Quebec's Human Rights Commission. He sits on the advisory boards of several other think tanks. He sits on the Board of Governors of the National Association of Scholars. He or his op-eds have appeared in varied electronic media (including CNN, CNNfn, C-Span, Fox News, Fox News Online, Hudson Institute Online, National Public Radio, National Review Online, Tech Central Station, Voice of America, C.BC, Radio-Canada, and West German Radio) as well as in a wide array of newspapers (including the Wall St. Journal, Christian Science Monitor, Baltimore Sun, Washington Times, Tulsa Journal, Kansas City Star, [Montreal] La Presse, Montreal Gazette, [Montreal] Le Devoir, [Toronto] Globe and Mail, and Japan Times). Currently, he is a Professor of Law at a VA university where he teaches Torts, Legal Ethics, Products Liability, and Jurisprudence. His research on torts and ethics issues is nationally known has published numerous books, chapters, and articles on legal ethics. Notably, he is co-author of two editions of West's Legal Ethics in a Nutshell and is sole author of two editions of West's Products Liability hornbook.

This highly-qualified expert has over 35 years of experience in aviation, as well as a practicing attorney. In addition to being a licensed attorney, he has a private pilot's license and a commercial pilot's license. He earned his BAS in biomedical engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and his JD from Pennsylvania State University. He has worked for several law firms throughout his career and, during his time with the DOJ as both an assistant United States attorney and a special assistant United States attorney, this expert worked on numerous aviation-related prosecutions involving airlines and the FAA. He has about 5,000 hours of experience in all types of weather and is familiar with the practices, procedures, operations, issues, and challenges facing pilots. For the last 27 years, he has owned, maintained, and operated systems-based cabin-class piston and turbo-prop aircraft, including a 1977 Piper Turbo Arrow III (PA-28-201RT), a 1969 Beechcraft (Raytheon) Duke (BE60), and, most recently, a 1979 Piper Cheyenne I (PAY1). Currently, this expert is the managing partner of the Philadelphia office for a law firm in Pennsylvania.
