This expert has experience with toxic environmental contamination, industrial chemical exposures and occupational health. this expert is a physician (The Ohio State University), board certified in Occupational Medicine (American Board of Preventive Medicine), who holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Toxicology (University of Cincinnati, Kettering Laboratory). He has served on the faculty of the University of Cincinnati and the New York University Medical Center and joined the faculty of the University of Texas School of Public Health in 1992 in its Environmental Sciences Discipline and Occupational and Environmental Health and Aerospace Medicine Module. This distinguished scholar is the Head of Chemical & Materials Engineering at his university, a fellow of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, and a former board of directors member of the National Society of Professional Engineers. Prior to joining academia, he worked for E. I. duPont de Nemours, Conoco, Ethyl, and Kraft where he gained extensive experience in chemical processes that involved alternatives to CFCs, catalyst manufacture, agricultural & pharmaceutical intermediates processing, monomer recovery by depolymerization, ultrafiltration and reverse osmosis of cheese by-products, electromembrane processes, bioethanol production, and numerous food processing operations. He holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University and a doctoral degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Oklahoma.

This expert is a well qualified health physicist. While at the University of Arkansas he completed a BS in chemistry and a BS in biology, he then went to the University of Texas where he completed a PhD in biochemistry. He is active in the field as a member of the American Physics Society and the American Chemical Society. He previously was a laboratory technician for Tyson Food, an assistant professor of chemistry at the University of Central Arkansas, and an instructor at Pulaski Technical College. For 15 years he has served as a health physicist in the radiation control section for a state health service in Arkansas.

Currently, this expert is the owner and CEO of a scientific consultancy in New Mexico.

He earned his BS in zoology and chemistry from Texas A&M University and his PhD in microbiology and biochemistry from the University of Texas at Austin.
