Expert Qualifications

This highly qualified Ergonomic expert managed her own consulting firm for over 18 years. Her success led her company to be acquired in 2014 by an international Human Factors company. During her time as a private consultant, she has had the opportunity to interact with a broad scope of work environments, work systems, and OHS management styles. This has helped her to creatively problem solve when it comes to assessing risks and formulating appropriate risk control strategies that may not have been previously considered by an organization. In 2008, she and her team developed Canada’s first Ergonomics Systems Specialist (ESS Designation) certification course. This five day course is designed to train individuals in how to incorporate ergonomics programming throughout an organization from a systems perspective, streamlining with existing health, safety, HR, and other business operating systems. It encompasses all aspects of work, including applied ergonomics in the design of work, communication structures and the establishment of roles and responsibilities, all of which play a key role in successful outcome measures. It continues to provide ongoing certification training throughout Canada. In her new role, she continues to oversee her team of ergonomists while leading fatigue management research and delivery of services throughout Canada, the US and Latin America.
