Expert Qualifications

This highly-qualified expert has extensive experience in the field of communication disorders, with much of her work centered around child language disorders, cognitive-communication disorders and their impact on criminal thinking and behavior, and special education advocacy. She received her BS in computer science and information systems from Shaw University before earning her MEd in communication disorders from North Carolina Central University and her PhD in communication sciences and disorders from Howard University. This expert is active in her field as a member of the American Speech and Hearing Association, the National Black Association of Speech-Language, and the National Partnership for Juvenile Services. She is also highly involved in research, having authored several peer-reviewed articles and lectured as an invited speaker at multiple conferences throughout her career. She has formerly served as a speech-language pathologist for multiple nursing facilities in the DC area and as an assistant professor at Richard Stockton University. Currently, this expert serves as a speech-language pathologist for her private practice and an assistant professor for a major university in DC.
