Over the course of his career, he has completed multiple professional development certificate courses, including an emergency medical technician certificate and a firefighter certificate of compliance at Indian River State College, an aircraft rescue fire fighting program at Mississippi Fire Academy, emergency services leadership institute, and certification courses at Florida State Fire College. He holds over a dozen certifications, including certifications as a firefighter, a fire code administrator, a fire safety inspector, and several FEMA certifications. This expert is active in his field as an author of numerous publications, a speaker at several conferences, and an instructor of various fire safety and building code courses. He is also highly involved with the National Fire Protection Association as a volunteer on multiple committees.
