After graduating from the Moscow University of Finance and Law, he spent ten years working for the Federal Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation, rising through the ranks from the position of Senior Investigator to Deputy Prosecutor for the Moscow Region. While at the Federal Prosecutor’s Office, he completed his Ph.D. in Law. At present he is Associate Professor, Deputy Head of the Department of Risk Analysis and Economic Security, and Director of the Master's Degree Program on Business Compliance Assurance at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation.
