In addition, he is a member of numerous professional societies including the American Society of Biomechanics and the Biomedical Engineering Society. Previously, he served as an assistant professor of biomedical engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute and an associate professor of mechanical and materials engineering at Portland State University. Currently, he is a professor of biomaterials and biomechanics at a university in Oregon and is the owner and principal investigator at a bioengineering firm.
