Biomechanical Expert Witnesses in Massachusetts

This expert received his BS and MS from the Mechanical Engineering Department at MIT and is a licensed engineer in NY and CT. He currently works as a forensic/consulting engineer at a private engineering firm. His investigative and analytic experience includes motor vehicle accident reconstruction, biomechanics, product design and safety, and computer simulation and animation. He has also served as a member of the ANSI/NGCMA Z130.1 engineering specifications committee.

This expert has provided consulting services in accident reconstruction, biomechanics, EDR/ECM data retrieval, forensic vehicle examinations, product safety, system safety, and human factors engineering for over 25 years. He has full accreditation as a Traffic Accident Reconstructionist [ACTAR 738]; is a Certified Professional Ergonomist [N. 017]; is a specialist in using PC Crash computer simulation for the purposes of accident reconstruction; has specialized training and certification in Crash Data Retrieval Systems [both passenger vehicle EDRs and Transport Heavy Truck ECMs]; and is a licensed Commercial Motor Vehicle Operator. He has conducted over 3000 technical accident investigations and reconstructions, and has qualified to testify in courts in both Canada and the U.S. He is currently a Principal Associate for an accredited Accident Investigation and Reconstruction firm, which has offices throughout the northeast: New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, and Ontario,Canada.

This highly qualified resistance training specialist - personal trainer and educator currently serves as president, director of education and resistance training exercise biomechanics instructor for a nationally accredited personal training certification organization. He is a member of the American College of Sports Medicine and a a number of professional organizations. This expert has presented nationally for AAPTE, IDEA Health and Fitness Association and the New York State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (NYS AHPERD) and guest speaks for colleges and universities in the area of resistance training and exercise biomechanics. This expert has created a two-year, nine hundred hour, Personal Trainer Exercise Science and Sports Medicine curriculum, approved by the New York State Department of Education for high school juniors and seniors. This expert is an active contributor to industry publications and educational textbooks. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Science and Human Development, and a New York State Professional Teaching Certification.

This expert has extensive experience in the field of biomechanics and human factors. He earned his BS and MS from the Colorado School of Mines and his PhD in biomedical engineering from Oregon Health & Science University. He is certified in prosthetics and a member of the International Society for Posture and Gait Research. He previously served as a design engineer for JR Engineering, LLC, as a graduate research assistant at Oregon Health & Science University and as an assistant professor at the University of Hartford. He is currently an associate professor at a university in Connecticut.
