This expert has over 35 years of experience of experience, specializing in bicycle accident investigation. He is on the ASTM Committee for bicycle standards. Previously President of the National Academy of Forensic Engineers, he is a Fellow of both the American Society of Civil Engineers and the National Academy of Forensic Engineers. He is a Registered Professional Engineer for ten states and has authored several books and articles on subject of bicycle safety. He currently serves as President of a forensic engineering firm.

He is a well-respected presenter. This expert recently completed 10 year terms on the Wisconsin Governor’s Coordinating Bicycle Council and the Ashwaubenon Bicycle & Pedestrian Advisory Committee. He served on the Board of Directors of the Bicycle Federation of Wisconsin for 10 years as well, earning an Award of Excellence for his services.

This expert has been in the cycling and sporting goods industry for over 19 years. A former Product Manager/Buyer with Performance Bike, Inc., he was a key component of designing, developing, sourcing, pricing, and marketing their highly successful private-label line of cycling and multi-use apparel and accessories. As a Senior Line Product Manager with Cycling Sports Group, he managed the entire apparel product life cycle from initial concept to final delivery. The recipient of awards such as Honoree of Sporting Goods Business Top 40 Under 40 as well as a two-time winner of Bicycling Magazine Editor's Choice Award, this expert is currently the Director of Product Development & Sourcing for a global leader in the Sporting Goods/Outdoor channel.

This expert frequently teaches League of American Bicyclists classes at Wright Dunbar Interpretative Center and Wright State University in Ohio. He worked with the Aviation Heritage National Park Rangers to set up the nationally recognized "Bike with a Ranger" historical bicycling tour program and continues to train National Park Service Rangers involved with the program prior to their program participation. He is currently a chairman of the Ohio Bicycle Federation, where he helped push bicycle safety legislature into laww, Vice President of an Ohio cycling club, and an active member of the USA Cycling Association. He is also active in the "Dayton Safe Kids" project on the wheeled activities committee, where he works to ensure proper rules are in place to ensure the safety of children on the road. HE has represented cycling on the National Committee for Uniform Traffic Laws and Ordinances (NCUTLO). In this position, he worked with League of American Bicyclists representative to update the Uniform Vehicle Code regarding cycling.

This expert runs a full-service, comprehensive safety and engineering facility. As a leader in the field of mechanical engineering and safety, his goal is to increase awareness of personal safety issues, while maintaining exacting standards and best practices of the science of personal safety and industrial safety. He is a member of numerous prestigious societies in the field, including the Society for the Advancement of Material and Process Engineering and the Society of Automotive Engineers. Currently, this expert is the principal of a design engineering and safety analysis firm.

This highly qualified expert has over 40 years of experience in the industry of ATVs (all-terrain vehicles), UTVs (side by sides), motorcycle dirt bikes, snowmobiles, dual sport bikes, and some street bike and mountain bicycle issues. He is a former professional motorcycle enduro competitor and competed in the International Six Day Trials where he was the youngest competitor to win a gold medal. He is a member of the American Motorcyclists Association and is an inducted member in their motorcycle hall of fame. Other than being a former professional rider, this expert has also designed off-road trails, was a co-owner of a off-highway vehicle retail store and served as a lead mechanic. Currently, this expert is a senior instructor of a training firm and is a consultant of a motorcycle, off-road, and snowmobile consulting firm.

He has expertise across a variety of bicycle-related areas, including bicycle and triathlon event safety, analysis of bicycle crashes and accident sites, product failures, and bicycle-related intellectual property matters such as patents and trademarks. He earned his BS in mechanical engineering from the State University of York at Buffalo, is a registered patent agent, and currently holds 4 patents involving the engineering and design of bicycle products. He began his career in the bicycle industry as the race director for WPI Criterium, as well as a product manager for Alden Laboratories, where he was involved in all aspects of bicycle saddle products. This expert then served as the president of CC Kinetics Inc. while also working as a freelance writer and editor for multiple bicycle-related publications. During this time, he also served as the race director for the Great Lakes Cycling Classic, the Sprague Brook Park Cyclocross, and the Longsjo Classic. Currently, this expert serves as the registered patent agent and business principal for a patent agency based in Vermont. He is also the lead announcer for several competitive and recreational cycling events and an elite-level competitive cyclist competing in at least one sanctioned race per year.
