He continued his stay at Texas Tech University, first as associate director of its Nano Tech Center before becoming an assistant professor, then associate professor within the department of electrical and computer engineering and associate dean of the graduate school. He is currently a member of the tenure appeal committee and professor of electrical and computer engineering at a major university in Texas.
