Dr. Andrew Schmidt, MD

Dr. Andrew H. Schmidt has years of experience in Orthopaedic Surgery, specializing in Orthopaedic Trauma and Adult Reconstructive Orthopaedic Surgery. He earned his BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder and his MD from UC San Diego School of Medicine. After completing his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Oregon Health Sciences University, he went on to complete a fellowship in Joint Replacement at Hennepin County Medical Center. Today, this expert is board certified in Orthopaedic Surgery. Formerly, this expert held roles as an Associate Professor at the University of Minnesota and as the Medical Director of the Orthopedic Clinic at Hennepin County Medical Center. Currently, he serves as a Professor at the University of Minnesota, Director of the Orthopaedic Learning Center and Orthopaedic Clinical Research Program, the Medical Director of Adult Reconstruction Service, and Chair of Orthopaedic Surgery at Hennepin County Medical Center.
