Expert Qualifications
This highly qualified expert has over 35 years of experience in the field of entomology. He received his BS in entomology from the University of Idaho before pursuing his MS in entomology at Purdue University. After completing his Master’s program, he earned his PhD in biology at Utah State University. This expert is a board-certified entomologist, specializing in insect and mite pests, including wood-boring beetles in structures, pests in stored food, agricultural insect pests, scabies, mites, and bee stings. He is active in his field as a member of several entomological associations, including the Association of Applied Insect Ecologists and the Entomological Society of America. He is also highly involved in entomological research, having authored numerous publications and spoken at many entomology conferences. He has received multiple awards for his work throughout his career. His former positions include professor of crop science at Cal Poly, department head of crop science and dairy science at Cal Poly, and executive director of the agricultural research institute at California State University. Currently, this expert serves as professor emeritus of horticulture and crop science at a distinguished university in Southern California.
