This highly-qualified expert has over 35 years of experience in clinical and forensic psychology, with his work having focused on areas such as wrongful death with psychological pain and suffering, clergy sexual abuse, rape trauma, and traumatic workplace injury. He obtained his BS, MS, and PhD in psychology from Virginia Tech before completing an internship in clinical psychology at the University of Tennessee. He is a licensed clinical psychologist, a certified health service psychologist, and an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Psychological Association and the Tennessee Psychological Association. He has also published on topics related to clinical psychology and he has been the recipient of numerous accolades, including the Mental Health Association Diamond Special Recognition Award for Administration and Organizational Leadership, the University of Memphis Department of Psychology Distinguished Mentor Award, and the University of Memphis Department of Psychology Chair’s Special Appreciation Award for Outstanding Dedication and Service. This expert previously served as a psychology specialist for the Armed Forces Examining and Entrance Station, a staff psychologist and the administrative director at Memphis Mental Health Institute, the director of therapy and the program director of the therapeutic community program at the Charter Lakeside Behavioral Health System, and as part of the program administration of adult psychiatric services at the Charter Lakeside Hospital. He also worked as a clinical instructor of psychology at the University of Tennessee Center for the Health Sciences and an adjunct professor of clinical psychology at the University of Memphis. He is currently a clinical and forensic psychologist at a private practice, as well as an affiliate professor and the clinical supervisor of the clinical psychology graduate program at a major university in Tennessee.
