She earned her BSN from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and her MSN in Adult Health Education from Troy State University. This expert is certified as a wound ostomy nurse as well as a CPR and BLS instructor with the American Heart Association. She is active in her field as the president of the Central Alabama Wound Ostomy Continence Nurses' Association, as well as a member of the Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse Society and the Alabama State Nurses Association.
