This highly qualified expert has nearly 40 years of experience in insurance underwriting. He earned his BA in economics from the University of Guelph and his BComm in graduate business at the University of Windsor. He then went on to become a life underwriting at Independent Order of Foresters and a manager of Canadian life and disability underwriting at Crown Life Insurance Co. He then served as the AVP of underwriting and customer service at Paul Revere Life Insurance Co. before becoming the director of GSI and advanced underwriting at UnumProvident Corp. and RBC Insurance Life Insurance Company. Currently, this expert is an insurance consultant of how own insurance consultancy and a contractor insurance consultant for an underwriting service in Ontario.

This expert has 39 years experience in the insurance and risk management industry. He consults for businesses and attorneys, and serves as an insurance expert witness or risk management expert witness when needed. In risk management, he has extensive claims consulting, auditing, and loss control experience. He has a focus in Casualty Insurance Lines Including General Liability insurance and Workers Compensation. Additionally, he holds the Chartered Property & Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation, Associate in Risk Management (ARM), Associate in Claims (AIC), and Accredited Advisor in Insurance (AAI).

This expert has extensive experience with insurance. He gained his MBA from Pennsylvania State University, his PhD from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and his JD from the University of Minnesota. He served as the deputy commissioner and acting chief counsel for the Pennsylvania Insurance Department. He has also served as an insurance consultant to many corporations, state and local governments and was the chair of the finance, real estate, and law department at California Poly University. Currently he is a professor of insurance at a university in Minnesota and an attorney licensed to practice in Minnesota.
