This expert has served as a heavy equipment mechanic and maintenance specialist for over 30 years. He is ASE certified in 8 different areas as a Medium/Heavy Truck Technician and 5 areas as an Automotive Technician. He is a former mechanic for the Utah Transit Authority where he performed maintenance and repairs in a variety of areas including suspensions, rotors, brake systems, and hydraulic systems. He also served as a mechanic at Sunroc Construction and Materials where he performed repairs on fleets of heavy construction equipment including dump trucks, trailers, loaders, and bulldozers. Currently, he is a Heavy Equipment Mechanic at a government transportation unit in UT where he performs preventative maintenance and repairs on transmission and brake systems for trucks and heavy road maintenance vehicles.

He studied automotive technology a the College of the Canyons, and served as an apprentice automotive mechanic at Volkswagen, Porsche, and Audi. He has continued to participate in in ongoing trainings offered in his field. He has previously served as a heavy equipment mechanic for the California Division of Highways, and as a Motor Carrier Specialist for the California Highway Patrol. He currently serves as the Vice President of a Motor Vehicle Safety Consultancy in California.

This expert has almost two decades of first-hand commercial driving experience. He has over 15 years of experience driving semi-trucks, boasting over 1.5 million miles accident-free. After receiving his AS from Shasta Junior College, he worked as a security guard for North State Security until beginning his career in the commercial driving industry as a bus driver for the Redding Area Bus Authority. He has served as a truck driver for companies such as Swift Transportation, Bettendorf Enterprises, Schneider National Carriers, and Giltner Trucking. He also served as a training engineer for Schneider National Carriers. Currently, this expert serves as a truck driver for a transportation firm based in Utah.
