This highly qualified expert is board certified in surgical critical care and has been practicing for 12+ years. He completed his residency training in general surgery and his fellowship training in trauma and surgical critical care at the University of Miami. He also concluded a NIH research training fellowship at the University of Texas. He is a fellow at the American College of Surgeons and a member of various other professional associations, including the American Burn Association and the Society of Critical Care Medicine. He has published 35+ peer-reviewed journal articles and lectures both nationally and internationally. Currently, he is a trauma and burn surgeon and a professor of critical surgery at a major university, where he also directs the surgical residency training program.
