He completed an internship at UNC followed by a residency in orthopedic surgery at University of Chicago. This expert pursued his expertise in hand surgery by completing two hand surgery fellowships in Switzerland. He is board certified in orthopedic surgery with advanced qualification in hand surgery. This expert's career has been highlighted by numerous awards including America's Best Physicians for 6 years straight and The Gerald S. Laros Resident Teaching Award. He is also an accomplished scholar in his field as an author of over 50 journal articles, 2 books and several book chapters. In addition, he has delivered over 100 lectures and presentations on the national and international stage. Formerly, this expert was an associate professor of Clinical Surgery at University of Chicago. Currently, he is Director of the Hand and Microsurgery Service as well as Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at a major university medical school.
