Thoracic Surgery Expert Witnesses in Massachusetts

This double board certified thoracic surgeon has has practicing for nearly 20 years. An editor of six different academic journals, this expert is widely published and has presented extensively across the U.S. on esophagectomy and other esophageal complications. He is an Assistant Professor of Thoracic Surgery at a major medical university, as well as the Director of the Esophageal Surgery Program and the Chief of Thoracic Surgery and the same institution.

This expert is the Chief of the Division of Cardiac, Thoracic & Vascular Surgery, as well as the director of congenital and pediatric cardiac surgery and a Calvin F. Barber Professor of Surgery at his institution. He is board certified in surgery, thoracic surgery and congenital heart surgery specializing in valve repair and reconstruction, neonatal cardiac surgery, hybrid procedures complex biventricular repairs, and adult congenital heart surgery.

This highly qualified expert in cardiothoracic surgery received his BS and MD from King's College in London. He then completed an internship in general medicine and cardiology at King's College School of Medicine and residencies in both surgery and thoracic medicine at the University of Illinois and Loyola University School of Medicine, respectfully. He finished his formal training with fellowships in transplant surgery at the University of Cambridge, heart surgery at Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospital, and congenital heart surgery at Boston Children's Hospital. After completing his training, he went on to serve as an attending adult and pediatric cardiac surgeon, the lead of the thoracic residency program, and an assistant professor in surgery at the University of Cincinnati. He is active in his field as a member of associations such as the Society of Thoracic Surgery and he has authored over 70 publications and 2 book chapters. Currently, he is an attending cardiothoracic surgeon at an MA medical center.
