He then completed a residency in General Surgery and one in Cardiothoracic Surgery from University of Kentucky Hospital and Medical College of Virginia Hospitals, respectively. He is currently a Professor of Pediatrics in the Department of Cardiology at one of the nation's top university medical centers. Additionally, he serves as Director of Pediatric Electrophysiology, Co-founding Director of the Dysautonomia Center at one nation's most prestigious children's hospitals, and an attending Pediatric Cardiologist. He has been celebrated with numerous awards, including top doctor three years in a row in one of the US's largest cities. He has numerous publications on the subject of pediatric cardiac care and has been invited to present at various professional clinical meetings and conferences.

This highly qualified nursing expert has extensive experience in his field and is skilled in cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, and critical care nursing. After earning his BS in nursing from Washburn University, this expert went on to obtain his MS in nursing there as well. He is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and holds additional certifications in advanced cardiac life support and life support for the professional rescuer. He is a member of the Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses.
