He completed his internship and Residency in General Surgery and his Fellowship in Surgical Critical Care medicine at the University of Missouri-Columbia and his Fellowship in Trauma at the Oregon Health Sciences University. He has been Board Certified in Surgery and Surgical Critical Care Medicine and is Certified in Life Care Planning and Mediation.
