He has acquired numerous appointments as departmental head of several neurosurgical practices. Across his thirty year career, he has also been extensively published in his field, and has given over 20 neurosurgical presentations to a national audience.

He has a vast body of grant-funded research and publication experience in the field of surgical pathology with expertise in thoracic pathology (lung, pleura and mediastinum), endocrine pathology (thyroid) and soft tissue tumors. He has served in such high ranking departmental positions as Director of Anatomic and Surgical Pathology for the Ohio State University Hospitals and is currently a Chairman of Pathology at a major medical school in the USA.

She earned her BS and MD from the University of Iowa before completing an internship in general surgery at the University of Utah and a residency in general surgery at the University of Iowa. She is board certified in general surgery and active in her field as a member of the American College of Surgeons. She has formerly served as a surgeon at various hospitals across Iowa. This expert is currently the vice chair of the department of surgery, a faculty member in the trauma services department, and a member of the clinical faculty of general surgery at a medical center in Iowa.
