Hand Surgery Expert Witnesses in Ohio

This expert is the Division Chief of Hand in the Department of Plastic Surgery. He is also the Program Director of the Plastic Surgery component of the Plastic Surgery Hand and Upper Extremity Fellowship, as well as intimately involved with the Hand Transplantation Program at a major PA Medical Center. He has trained in Plastic Surgery at Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. He completed fellowships in Hand and Upper Extremity surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and Thomas Jefferson University/Philadelphia Hand Center. Prior to coming on as the Division Chief of Hand Surgery, he was part of the teaching faculty at Allegheny General Hospital Department of Orthopaedics, where he treated of all types of complex hand, wrist, and elbow fractures, ligament, and tendon injuries. Over the past few years, he has had the opportunity to develop an adult peripheral nerve and post traumatic brachial plexus injury practice, through which he has been able to employ the latest in nerve repair and transfer techniques, as well as tendon transfer techniques. These patients will be evaluated at the new Center for Nerve Disorder at a major PA Medical Center, opening this fall. He plays a very active role in the VCA (vascularized composite allotransplantation) lab and also has an interest in peripheral nerve research. Among his many clinical interests, he is involved with clinical outcome studies regarding hand transplant patients.

This board-certified expert in orthopedic surgery specializes in spinal procedures. He earned his MD from Georgetown University following a BA from the University of California Santa Barbara. The expert also holds an MS in physiology and biophysics from Georgetown. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Georgetown University and a fellowship in orthopedic spine surgery at the Mayo Clinic. The expert formerly served as an orthopedic surgeon in the Mayo Health Care system. He currently serves as a surgical preceptor and instructor for a minimally invasive spine center in Pennsylvania and as a spine surgeon at an area spine center.

This accomplished orthopedic surgeon earned his BA from Harpur College and his MD from Thomas Jefferson University. He completed an internship at Rochester Regional Hospital, before completing an orthopedic surgery residency at Thomas Jefferson Hospital. He is currently board certified in orthopedic surgery and remains active in his field as a member of the Pennsylvania Medical Society and the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery. Formerly, this expert served as an associate in orthopedic surgery at the Landsdale Medical Group and was also the chief of orthopedic surgery at the Geisinger-Wyoming Valley Medical Center. Currently, this expert holds positions as an adjunct professor and clinical adjunct faculty at two universities in New York and Pennsylvania and is an attending surgeon at a medical center, an ambulatory surgical center and a regional raceway in Pennsylvania. He also, for the past 20 years, has served as the director of orthopedic surgery at a private practice in Pennsylvania, where he specializes in the care and treatment of osteoarthritis of the knee.
