Emissions Expert Witnesses

This expert obtained his BA in Enviromental Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara, his MS in Environmental Studies from the University of California, Berkeley, and his Ph.D from the University of Washington. He has over twenty years experience conducting remedial investigations, risk assessments, and developing cleanup programs for sites containing petroleum hydrocarbons, chlorinated solvents, pesticides, radioactive waste, PCBs, PAHs, dioxins/furans, volatile and semi-volatile organics, perchlorate, heavy metals, asbestos, PFOA, unusual polymers, fuel oxygenates (MTBE), and odors. He conducts contaminant fate and transport modeling in all environmental media and is a specialist regarding the analysis and modeling of airborne contaminants. He has evaluated and modeled emissions from oil and gas facilities, natural gas and fracking sites, industrial boilers, incinerators, confined animal feeding operations, rendering facilities, and various other industrial and agricultural sources. He is currently a Consultant at a Private Firm.

This extremely qualified expert has years of experience in the development of design and control strategies for hybrid electric vehicles. He received his BS degree in mechanical engineering from Purdue University and both his MS and PhD degrees in mechanical engineering from Stanford University. He has received several honors for his outstanding work, including the Max Bentele Award for engine technology innovation. He has published 50+ refereed journal articles and serves as an associate editor for 4+ renowned mechanical engineering journals. He is also a member of the editorial board for ASME Dynamics Systems and Control magazine. He is a former engineer at Palomar Technologies and a former graduate research assistant at Stanford University's Dynamic Design Lab. Currently, he is an associate professor of mechanical engineering at a major university in Indiana.
