Decubitus Ulcer Care Expert Witnesses in Mississippi

This expert is board certified in dermatology and completed fellowship training in dermatologic surgery/mohs micrographic surgery at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. He is a member of the Association of Academic Dermatologic Surgeons and has authored more than 40 peer reviewed dermatology publications. He is current a professor of dermatologic surgery and cutaneous laser surgery at a major medical institution.

This expert earned her AAS from Jefferson State Community College and her BS from Jacksonville State University in nursing. She is a licensed registered nurse with additional certifications as a rehabilitation registered nurse and wound, ostomy, and continenece nurse. She is active in her field as a member of the Association of Rehabilitation Nurses and the Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nurses Society. Formerly, she was an assistant nurse manager at the University of Alabama at Birmingham Hospital. The expert is currently a wound care nurse at a major university-affiliated hospital, as well as a part time registered nurse at an AL inpatient rehabilitation center.

This highly qualified expert has nearly 25 years of experience as a wound ostomy nurse. She earned her BSN from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and her MSN in Adult Health Education from Troy State University. She also completed a wound ostomy continence nursing program at Emory University. This expert is certified as a wound ostomy nurse as well as a CPR and BLS instructor with the American Heart Association. She is active in her field as the president of the Central Alabama Wound Ostomy Continence Nurses' Association, as well as a member of the Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse Society and the Alabama State Nurses Association. She currently serves as a wound ostomy nurse at a major hospital system in Alabama, as well as a faculty nursing instructor for a nursing degree program in Alabama.
