Burn Injury Expert Witnesses in Delaware

This board certified expert earned a BS and MD from State University of New York at Stony Brook. Residency and fellowship training were completed at State University of New York Health Science Center at Brooklyn and St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital, respectively. He has extensive surgical experience working as an Attending Surgeon in different surgical practices.

This expert is the Medical Director of the Center for Advanced Wound Care at an academic medical center in New Jersey. She started her career in wound care after completing residencies in Surgery and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and fellowships at UCSF in Trauma and Burns/Wound Healing and in Surgical Critical Care at Johns Hopkins University. She served as an expert panel member for the National Institute of Health to write guidelines for the treatment of pressure ulcers and venous ulcers. Her research concerns the role of oxygen and lactate in the biochemistry of tissue repair. She is an active member of the Pressure Ulcer Standards Group, the Venous Ulcer Standards Group and the Arterial Ulcer Standards Group of the Wound Healing Society and Wound Healing Foundation.

This expert has over 40 years of clinical experience, with a focus on wound care medicine. He completed his undergraduate work at Fairfield University and received his MD from Albany Medical College. He is board certified in wound medicine and is an active member of his field both clinically and academically. He frequently publishes and presents on topics related to wound care medicine, and is a founding member of the American Board of Wound Medicine and Surgery, where he is currently the President-Elect. Formerly, he served as Medical Director at the Wound Care Institute & Research Center and the Wound Care Center at Lenoir Hospital. Currently, he serves as a board member for a wound care foundation and is the President of a consulting group offering his expertise in wound care to other physicians.
