He completed his residency training in general surgery and his fellowship training in trauma and surgical critical care at the University of Miami. He also concluded a NIH research training fellowship at the University of Texas. This expert is certified as a wound ostomy nurse as well as a CPR and BLS instructor with the American Heart Association. She is active in her field as the president of the Central Alabama Wound Ostomy Continence Nurses' Association, as well as a member of the Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse Society and the Alabama State Nurses Association. She currently serves as a wound ostomy nurse at a major hospital system in Alabama, as well as a faculty nursing instructor for a nursing degree program in Alabama.
