Athletic Training Expert Witnesses in Ohio

This well seasoned professor of higher education has over 30 years of experience in physical education and recreational sports. Throughout his career he has been a member of several professional societies including the National Intramural-Recreational Sports Association (NIRSA), the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA), the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA) and the International Association of Approved Basketball Officials (IAABO). He served as Director of NIRSA in two different states (New York and Pennsylvania). He is a certified recreational sports specialist and graduated from the NIRSA School of Recreational Sport Management. He has been invited to give professional presentations throughout the country on various topics such as, “Ethics in campus recreation programs,” and “Status of campus recreation programs in North America." He has published extensively in professional publications including Recreational Sports Journal, the Journal of International Council for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, Sport, and Dance and Risk Management for Campus Recreation. Most notably, he published articles on Selected risk management policies for intramural activities and club sport legal liability practices. He received the NIRSA Horace Moody Award which recognizes professional members who have made contributions to student development by their encouragement, support, and performance. He is currently an instructor in the department of human movement, sport, and leisure studies of an Ohio based university.

This Ohio-based orthopedic surgery expert specializes in total joint-knee replacement, reconstructive knee surgery, and sports medicine. He earned both his BA and MD from the Boston University School of Medicine. He went on to complete two residency programs at Mount Sinai Hospital: one in surgery and another in orthopedics. This expert is board-certified in orthopedics as well as certified by the American Board of Independent Medical Examiners, and is active in his field as a member of several professional organizations including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American College of Sports Medicine, the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, and the Arthroscopy Association of North America. Previously, this expert has served in several positions related to his field including serving as a member of the executive board of directors and the chief of orthopedics at Jewish Hospital-Mercy Health, a member of the orthopedic executive review board at Christ Hospital, the chairman of orthopedics at Deaconess Hospital, and a member of the operating review board at CIGNA. He also served as an associate professor in the department of aerospace engineering at the University of Cincinnati. Currently, this expert serves as an assistant professor of clinical medicine and orthopedics at a university in Ohio and the medical director at a medical and workers' compensation health clinic in Ohio.
