He holds a Ph.D. in Counseling and Sports Psychology from Florida State University, where he also completed a post-doctoral fellowship in Sports Psychology. He has been an active member of the American Football Coaches Association for over 40 years and completed a Governor-appointed six year term on the Board of Directors of the Florida Sports Foundation. He coached football for 15 seasons at West Chester State College, the University of Maryland, the University of Connecticut, and The Citadel, while he also served as the Athletic Director for Liberty University, a Division I university. He is also highly involved in research, having authored numerous peer-reviewed articles and serving as a manuscript reviewer for 11 biomechanics and sports science journals. Currently, this expert is an adjunct professor of bioengineering at a South Carolina university, an adjunct clinical research professor of orthopaedics and orthopaedic surgery for two South Carolina medical schools, and a professor of health and human performance at a South Carolina college.

Most recently, this expert was the owner of the East Coast Fitness Center and the president and owner of National AED Sales, LLC. He now is the owner and president of a sports management group in North Carolina, that specializes in risk management in the athletic and fitness industry. In this role, he performs safety audits on athletic and fitness facilities and has authored a number of safety manuals and training programs designed for athletic directors, health club owners and managers.
