She evaluates and treats many disorders of the nervous system including traumatic brain injury, headaches, back and neck injuries, multiple sclerosis, and dementia. She received her M.D. from the prestigious George Washington University School of Medicine after completing an MS degree at Georgetown University. She did her internship, in internal medicine, and her residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia.

She then went on to finish a stroke/neurocritical fellowship at Stanford University Medical Center and at the University of Southern California. She is also Associate Division Chief of Neurocritical Care/Stroke, the Co-Director of the Neurocritical Stroke Services, and the Medical Director of the Transcranial Doppler Program at a major medical center.
