Case Overview

This case takes place in New Jersey and involves a woman who suffered a significant injury to her hand when shooting a pistol’s. Several years after she initially purchased gun, the woman took the revolver target shooting. She gripped the revolver with her left hand on the pistol’s grip and her right hand wrapped around his left hand as shown on the gun’s safety & instruction manual. The woman fired the weapon once and, immediately after firing, noticed a sharp pain in both of her hands. She began bleeding profusely from her injuries, which were caused by a mechanical defect that caused the weapon to leak gasses from the chamber during firing.

He received his B.S. in mechanical engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, his master of mechanical engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology, and his Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology. He is a member of numerous societies in the ballistics engineering and firearms fields, and has received a variety of prestigious awards for his work. He is a former production engineer and design engineer, as well as the former chief of analysis and evaluation in the technology division of the U.S. Army.
