Prof. John Swensen
Prof. John Swensen has over 15 years of experience in electrical and mechanical engineering, and he specializes in locomotion in mechanical and biological systems and in robotic engineering. He obtained his BS in electrical engineering from Utah State University, before receiving both his MS and PhD in mechanical engineering from the Johns Hopkins University. Today, this expert is an active member of the Institute for Nuclear Science and Technology, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, and the Institute for Electrical and Electronic Engineers. He previously served as a research assistant at the Center for Self-Organizing and Intelligent Systems at Utah State University, as an engineer at Autonomous Solutions Inc., and as an engineer associate of software engineering at Ball Aerospace and Technologies Corp. More recently, this expert also worked as a research assistant at the Locomotion in Mechanical and Biological Systems Laboratory at Johns Hopkins University and as a postdoctoral associate and associate research scientist in the GRAB Lab within the department of mechanical engineering and materials science at Yale University. He is currently an assistant professor of mechanical and materials engineering and the principle investigator of modeling, motion, and medical robotics at a major university in Washington.
