Ms. Laurie Havassy has over four decades of experience as a vocational and employability specialist. She earned her BA in psychology from Long Island University followed by an MS in rehabilitation counseling from the University of Arizona. She is licensed as a rehabilitation counselor and holds certifications in both rehabilitation and vocational rehabilitation counseling. She has formerly held roles as a rehabilitation counselor at the Jewish Board of Guardians and with the NY State Department of Labor. She is currently a rehabilitation counselor for the U.S. Department of Labor's worker's compensation programs and a vocational rehabilitation counselor at an independent practice in the tri-state area.
