This highly qualified child care expert has over 30 years of experience in her field. She earned an AA in early childhood education and an AS in pre-education from Waubonsee Community College. She went on to complete a BA in applied behavioral sciences at the National College of Education and a master's of education at Stafford University. She is certified in first aid/CPR/AED and is certified as a food handler. This expert is active in her field as a member of numerous professional associations including the National Association for the Education of Young Children and the National Afterschool Association. Formerly, she worked as a teacher at several schools in Illinois and went on to become the director of Nazarene Kiddie College. After this, she held a variety of positions in child care centers including director of the Illinois training center and master academy with LaPetite Academy and director of operations and education at Exploration Bay. Currently, this expert is a self-employed early childhood educational consultant in Illinois where she trains childcare professionals.
