He completed postgraduate training in General Surgery and Interventional Radiology, and completed a Vascular and Interventional Radiology Fellowship at MUSC. He is an accomplished presenter and invited lecturer at numerous hospitals and universities on topics related to Radiology and is a Fellow in the Society of Interventional Radiology. He is a published author of peer-reviewed articles, book chapters, a book editor and an award winning Top Reviewer for the "Journal of Vascular and Interventional Radiology”. He has also been named in 'Best Doctors in America' for multiple years and is a Product & Patent Owner. He holds numerous membership positions in various professional societies and has held faculty appointments at the Hospital de Clinicas, Federal University of Rio Grande Sul Medical School and Moinhos de Vento Hospital in Brazil. He is the Editor in Chief of one of the world's leading scientific journals on Interventional Radiology and is widely published, and has given 500 invited lectures.
