This internationally recognized vein expert has been practicing for 35 years. A Fellow of the American College of Phlebology and an Emeritus Fellow of the Australasian College of Phlebology, he has given over 120 presentations at national and international medical conferences, including keynote presentations. He is Editor for "Phlebology: The Journal of Venous Disease" and serves as a reviewer for 6 other scientific journals. The Founding President of the American Board of the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine, this expert has been chosen by his peers for inclusion in the Best Doctors in America Database for dermatology and phlebology (2011/12), while he has been named by "Vein Magazine" as one of the 25 most influential professionals worldwide in vein care. Currently, this expert is the Founder and a Physician at a private vein and dermatology practice.

This highly qualified expert earned his BA in Zoology from the University of Texas at Austin and his MD from the University of Texas Houston. He completed his Residency in Neurosurgery at Baylor College of Medicine and then went on to complete two prestigious Fellowships. The first in Vascular and Skull Base Surgery at Harvard Medical School and the second in Cerebrovascular and Endovascular Neurosurgery at Emory University. He is an active member of his field both clinically and academically and is a member of multiple medical societies including the Congress of Neurological Surgeons and the American Association of Neurological Surgeons. He has published over 10 peer-reviewed journal articles, 7 book chapters, and has lectured both Nationally and Internationally. Formerly, he served as both a Clinical Instructor and Senior Associate Neurosurgeon at Emory University. Currently, he is serving as an Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at a top Texas University.
