This station valuation and broadcast station economics expert has been working in the media and entertainment industry for over 40 years. He studied Radio and Television at Ithaca College prior to receiving his M.B.A. with a concentration in Finance from American University. He is a former Founding Partner of DES Associates, where he worked for nearly a decade providing appraisal and acquisition analysis to the broadcasting industry. During this time he concurrently served as an Associate Editor for Paul Kagan Association. He left DES to form ComCapital Group, an investment banking company that specialized in station acquisition financing, valuations, and related financial consulting. Currently, this expert is the President and Founding Partner of an investment banking company that provides appraisal services and specialized economic analysis for the TV and radio broadcasting industry. Over the course of his career, this expert has appraised over 4,000 broadcast TV and radio stations with aggregate values in excess of $50 billion. His scholarly articles on the topics of broadcast station valuation and finance have been featured in publications such as the "Journal of Broadcast Financial Management�, "Broadcasting", and "Broadcast Management & Engineering", while he has been recognized as a broadcast station valuation and economic expert by the Subcommittee on Telecommunications of the U.S. Congress. This expert has also been qualified as an expert in station valuation and broadcast station economics in proceedings before the U.S. Supreme Court and has prepared valuation and economic studies that were incorporated in proceedings before the Federal Communications Commission.

This highly-qualified expert has nearly 30 years of experience in the consumer, retailing, technology, and healthcare industries in areas such as mergers and acquisitions, the valuation of public and private companies, stock option valuations, severance package valuations, and C-suite compensation. He received his BA in economics and political science from Claremont McKenna College before earning his MBA from Harvard Business School. He also earned a certified director certification from the UCLA Anderson School of Management. This expert has formerly served as the vice president of investment banking at Donaldson, Lufkin, & Jenrette and Wertheim Schroeder & Co, as the CFO of Bodega Latina Corporation, DDD Group, and Hypertension Diagnostics Inc. While working with Hypertension Diagnostics, he also served as the chairman and CEO. He has also been a board member for several companies, including HDi Plastics, HitFix, and Specialty Commodities. Currently, this expert serves as a board member for a retail technology company in Texas and a privately-owned drug retailer in Washington state.

This highly qualified expert has been in the field finance and economics for over two decades, with demonstrated experience in valuation, assessment, discounted cash flow, economic and financial modeling, investment analysis, economic damage, earnings analysis, and risk assessment and analysis. He received his BA, in English literature and international relations from the University of California at Santa Barbara and then his PhD in applied economics from the University of Minnesota where he was both a MacArthur and Fulbright Fellow. He is the author of multiple papers and books, including “Inside the Global Economy: A Practical Guide”. He has worked in a variety of roles including as a consultant to both several countries, Alliance Equity Group LLC and Booz Allen Hamilton. He has also been the lead investor and CEO of Delta Welding and Fabrication. This expert currently runs a door and cabinet hardware design company he helped co-found and works with a private rare metals fabrication investor group in California, as well as serves as an instructor of global economics at a California university.
