Use of Force Expert Witnesses in Georgia

This qualified expert served for 31 years with the Miami Dade Police Department, the largest police department in the Southeastern US. He holds his MS in public management from St. Thomas University and is certified as a police firearms instructor, police defensive tactics instructor, and a crime prevention practitioner all in the state of Florida. This expert has been training police recruits and law enforcement officers in defensive tactics, firearms, patrol tactics, SWAT tactics, use of force and deadly force since 1988. He has trained thousands of law enforcement officers nationally. He remains active in his field as a member of the American Society of Law Enforcement Trainers and the International Law Enforcement Educators and Trainers Association.

This highly-qualified expert has over 25 years of experience in the law enforcement and private security industry. He earned his BS in political science and his MS in criminal justice from the University of Central Florida. He is a licensed security officer and security manager and stays active in his field as a member of the American Society for Industrial Security and the Gated Community Security Managers Association. Formerly, this expert held positions as a lieutenant and acting captain of criminal investigations, a patrol commander, and the staff director and chief of staff at the Orange County Sheriff’s Office. He has also served as the director of security at Isleworth Country Club & Isleworth Community Association as well as the director of public safety for Ocean Reef Public Safety Department. Currently, he is a security director for a university in Florida, a part-time contract investigator for a financial security services company based in Maryland, and the president of his own law enforcement and private security consultancy.
