Traffic Laws Expert Witnesses

This expert frequently teaches League of American Bicyclists classes at Wright Dunbar Interpretative Center and Wright State University in Ohio. He worked with the Aviation Heritage National Park Rangers to set up the nationally recognized "Bike with a Ranger" historical bicycling tour program and continues to train National Park Service Rangers involved with the program prior to their program participation. He is currently a chairman of the Ohio Bicycle Federation, where he helped push bicycle safety legislature into laww, Vice President of an Ohio cycling club, and an active member of the USA Cycling Association. He is also active in the "Dayton Safe Kids" project on the wheeled activities committee, where he works to ensure proper rules are in place to ensure the safety of children on the road. HE has represented cycling on the National Committee for Uniform Traffic Laws and Ordinances (NCUTLO). In this position, he worked with League of American Bicyclists representative to update the Uniform Vehicle Code regarding cycling.

This expert has over 45 years of experience in the field of Traffic Engineering. He earned his BS at St. Louis University and his MA in Civil Engineering at the University of Arizona. He is a Licensed Civil Engineer and a Certified Traffic Operations Engineer. He is active in his field as a member of several professional societies including the Institute of Transportation Engineers. He has previously served as traffic engineer for the City of Albuquerque, Maricopa County Department of Transportation, and Pima County Department of Transportation, as well as a Senior Project Manager for Lee Engineering. He currently serves as a Traffic Engineering Consultant for a Consulting Firm in Arizona.

This expert has almost 10 years of technical experience with traffic signals. He is a certified senior field technician and certified in work zone safety by the International Municipal Signal Association. He spent 8 years as a traffic signal technician at Siemens. In this role, he was responsible for maintaining multiple cities and counties traffic signals, installing and programming video detection cameras, conflict monitor testing, and signal turn-ons. His training in video detection cameras includes Iteris and Econolite brand cameras. He currently serves as a traffic signal technician for a traffic signal contracting firm. This firm is contracted by municipalities/public works departments to provide maintenance and repair services for traffic signals.

This expert earned her BS at Arizona State University, and went on to complete the Leadership in Engineering Administration Program through the American Council of Engineering Companies, as well as the Road Safety Audit Reviews at the National Highway Institute. She active in her field as a member of several professional societies including the Institute of Transportation Engineers, and has authored 4 publications on subjects relating to her field. She has received several awards, including the 2016 ASCE New Faces of Civil Engineering Professional Honoree and the 2010 ASHE National Board Younger Member of the Year. She previously served as a Traffic Analyst at Morrison Maierle, Inc., and as a Project Manager at Lee Engineering, LLC. She currently serves as the Principal and Founder of her own Traffic Engineering Consultancy in Arizona
