This highly-qualified expert has 45 years of experience in the field of security and risk management. His areas of expertise include premises liability, nightclub security, security guards, apartment properties, retail loss prevention, negligent hiring/retention and cargo losses due to inadequate security. He earned his BA in sociology with an emphasis in criminology from Louisiana State University. This expert is active in his field as a member of the American Society for Industrial Security, as an author of several published security articles, and a speaker at various security conferences. He began his career with Southern Research Company, serving as a security guard supervisor and as part of the investigations division working on theft and narcotics investigation. He then went on to serve as a patrol officer with the Dallas Police Department and the single unit and area loss prevention manager for Sears. For 12 years, he worked with Eckerd Corporation, serving first as a regional loss prevention manager before becoming the director of loss prevention operations. For nearly 20 years, this expert has served as the president of his risk analysis and security management consulting firm in Texas.

This expert has been involved with security specialties for over 30 years. He has worked as the Chief Probation Officer, which had him follow federal and state rules and regulations. Formerly the Principal Consultant and Executive Vice President at IPC International Corporation, a security firm, he entered the field as a Detective with the Baltimore Police Department. This expert has a 22 year career with the Houston Police Department demonstrating a vast range of skills and expertise in public safety, threat/crisis management, criminal investigation, and hostage negotiation. He has expertise as an interviewer/interrogator with more than 20 years experience conducting thousands of interviews or interrogations. He contributed to the development of a highly competent and principled investigative team with the Houston Police Department through various supervisory and training roles.He executed security for 7-day Super Bowl event with over 100,000 guests and 50 bands, including personal protection of high profile guests and dignitaries. He is currently an independent security consultant providing services nationwide regarding security policies and procedures for industries including property and apartment management, hospitality, entertainment, and sports.

This expert has spent more than three decades in the federal government, filling critical national security roles domestically and on behalf of the U.S. government overseas. He previously served as Assistant Administrator of TSA Security Operations, overseeing 450 airports and a $3.7 billion dollar budget. During his tenure, he successfully led a reorganization of the Office of Security Operations (OSO), improving communication with the field, streamlining HQ field management, realigning the Federal Security Director’s staffing and frontline management, and implementing new performance measures, resulting in cost reductions and increased efficiencies throughout the network. He also served in the Senior Executive Service at the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), where he worked in key capacities at headquarters and in the field. In August of 2009, He returned to the U.S. after completing his service as the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) attaché at the U.S. Embassy in London, where he was the senior homeland security official representing the Secretary of DHS, the TSA Administrator, and the U.S. Chief of Mission for the Embassy in London. He is currently a Senior Advisor at a global security and intelligence consulting firm.
