This expert has over 25 years of experience in pathology and laboratory medicine. She gained her MS in microbiology and MD from the University of Texas, San Antonio. She completed her residency in anatomic and clinical pathology and fellowship in surgical pathology at Mount Sinai Medical Center. This expert is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology and is licensed as a laboratory director. Most recently she has been a clinical associate professor of pathology at a university in New York and a director of pathology and laboratories for three local hospitals. Currently she is the Director of clinical laboratories and associate director of pathology in a hospital that is part of a major New York health system.

This expert was also the Medical Director of Immunology at Bristol-Myers Squibb's Pharmaceutical Research Institute, Vice President of NovoNordisk's Medical-Science Inflammation Department, and Vice President of Immunology and Rheumatology at Parexel International. Currently, he is a Clinical Professor at a medical school in New Jersey and is President of a firm that provides consultation services in immunology and rheumatology focusing on molecules in development.
