Peripheral Nerve Expert Witnesses in California

This expert in the biomechanics of the human spine earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania and his doctorate in biomedical engineering from Duke University, where he researched spinal trauma. In recognition of his scholarly contributions, the Orthopedic Trauma Association granted him the 'Best Paper' award for his work on spine trauma and the spine's response to loads. He has served as a reviewer for the both the 'Journal of Biomechanics' and 'Spine'. He has significant exposure to the clinical arena, having taught residents and fellows in orthopedic surgery at the Baylor College of Medicine and the Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas. This qualified Orthopedic Surgeon earned his MD from the Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon and completed his residency in Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology at the Hospital Universitario Jose E. Gonzalez. He completed a fellowship in Spine Surgery at the Hospital Victorio de la Fuente Narva¡ez, Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico, Mexico City. He is board certified by the Mexican Board of Orthopedic Surgery and Mexican Board of Spine Surgery. He is fluent in English.

This board certified expert earned a BA from Harvard College and MD from Yale University. He did graduate work in the Department of Neurobiology at Stanford University. A General Surgery Internship was complete at the College of Physicians & Surgeons at Columbia University followed by a Neurosurgical Residency at the Neurological Institute of NY. He did Peripheral Nerve Fellowships with Dr. Allan Hudson at the University of Toronto and Dr. David Kline at LSU in New Orleans. He is well published and has more than 30 research and medical grants to his name. The expert serves as a reviewer for several medical and neuroscience journals and has been awarded on several occasions for his contributions to the field. Currently, he is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Neurological Surgery and the Co-Director of the Peripheral Nerve Center at Stanford University Medical Center.
