This certified surgical technologist has over 20 years of experience in his field, and has served at several positions at civilian and government hospitals through out the greater San Antonio area. Working in the various positions he has held has led to him acquiring a great deal of valuable experience.

This highly qualified expert is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He received his MD from Texas Tech School of Medicine. His post-doctoral education continued at the University of Florida at Jacksonville where he developed a passion for Minimally Invasive Surgery. Following residency he entered private practice in Palm Coast, Florida where his interests expanded to include robotic surgery until his return to Texas as an Associate Professor to help rebuild and expand the Department of Surgery. His area of interest focuses on minimally invasive foregut and colorectal surgery.

This expert has over 45 years of experience in nursing, focusing on surgical nursing and post-surgery recovery. She earned her BS in nursing at Pan American University, her MS in public health nursing at the University of Texas Brownsville, and her EdD with a focus in health science education at the University of Houston. She has held numerous positions in various facilities across Texas with a consistent focus on surgical nursing and nurse education. She recently transitioned from clinical work to a consulting role. In her current position as a nurse consultant, she consults and presents on topics related to surgery recovery and pain management for patients following surgery.

This highly-qualified expert has over 25 years of experience in operating room nursing. She received her BSN in registered nursing from Texas Woman's University before earning her MSN in nursing education from Aspen University. She is a certified operating room nurse and formerly served as a guest lecturer in operating room nursing at the University of Houston Victoria. For nearly 30 years, this expert has served as an operating room registered nurse and unit educator at a hospital in Texas.
