Expert Qualifications
This board-certified anesthesiologist earned her MD from UT Southwestern after completing her undergraduate degree in neurobiology at Cornell. She completed training in internal medicine at the Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas and a residency in anesthesiology at UCSF. A member of professional organizations including the American Society of Anesthesiologists and the International Anesthesia Research Society, she has also presented at conferences across the country, including for the California Society of Anesthesiologists Annual Meeting and the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Annual Meeting. She is a journal reviewer for the Journal of Clinical Anesthesia and Anesthesia & Analgesia, and an editorial board member of the Clinical Anesthesia & Pain Management journal. She has held anesthesiology appointments at St. Paul University Hospital and Clements University Hospital, and is now an associate professor at a Texas medical school as well as an attending anesthesiologist at an affiliated hospital.
