Occupational Therapy Expert Witnesses in Kentucky

This Fullbright scholarship-winning developmental pediatrics specialist has been appointed to numerous high ranking academic and clinical appointments throughout his 30+ year medical career, including medical director at among the nation's most respected facilities dedicated to developmental pediatrics research. He is extensively published in his field, and has been involved in major grant funded research endeavors.

This expert has been the Chief of Pediatrics at the Chicago Shriners Hospitals for Children since 1981, the Medical Director of the Spinal Cord Injury program since its inception in 1983, and in 2005 became the Assistant Chief of Staff, Medicine. He is a Co-Editor of the newest textbook on SCI: Spinal Cord Injury in the Child and Young Adult.

She has worked on quality assurance for a (Program for All Inclusive Care of the Elderly (PACE) program, completing Level II incident reports and root cause analyses for adverse outcomes cases to determine the cause of injury and to prevent other incidents from occurring. Her clinical time is divided between direct patient care in a variety of settings and teaching and supervising occupational therapy students. Currently, she is an Assistant Professor of Occupational Therapy at a university affiliated medical center/ program.

She received her BS in physical therapy from the University of Oklahoma before earning her MHS in orthopedic physical therapy from the University of Indianapolis. She subsequently earned her DPT from A.T. Still University. She actively participates in professional development to stay up to date on the latest practices in the field. This expert is board-certified in orthopaedic physical therapy and is a licensed physical therapist. She is active in her field as a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists. She has formerly served as the director of physical therapy at Northwest Florida Community Hospital and the chief of physical therapy for the United States Air Force. Currently, this expert serves as the owner and orthopaedic physical therapist for a private practice in Virginia.

He received his BS in kinesiology from Southern Illinois University before earning his DPT from Franklin Pierce University. He has formerly served as a physical therapist assistant for the hospital-based outpatient unit at Alexian Rehabilitation Hospital, a physical therapist at Achieve Orthopedic Rehab Institute, and an outpatient physical therapist at Athletico. Prior to completing his residency in physical medicine & rehabilitation at the University of California Irvine this expert served as a flight surgeon at William’s Air Force Base. He has extensive experience as a medical director of physiatry facilities and is currently the medical director of a private physiatry practice in Indiana with a focus on spinal injury treatments, including stem cell injections.
