This qualified expert has over 40 years of experience in planing and developing mining operations. He holds a B.S. in Mining Engineering from West Virginia University and is certified as a Safety and MHSA Instructor. Registered as a Professional Engineer in 25 states, he has worked on projects across the U.S. including projects in South America and Kuwait. Altogether, his experience amounts to nearly $2 billion dollars worth of construction projects. He currently works as Senior Consultant at an engineering consulting firm where he also handles safety and MSHA training.

This Tennessee based expert entered the waste management industry in 1988, joining the old Browning-Ferris Industries as a District Manager of Environmental, Safety and Health for the Nashville District, covering 22,500 square miles. He was responsible for hiring, training, risk management, claims and compliance with OSHA, DOT and EPA regulations. He later became the Director of Solid Waste for the city of Franklin, TN, where he oversaw the conception and completion of a Municipal Services Complex that included a new 500-ton per day transfer station and 20,000 square foot operations center. He has been a member of the Solid Waste Association of North America for almost twenty years, and is certified to teach in Collections, Transfer Station, Recycling, Integrated Solid Waste Management and Principals of Solid Waste Management. He has written or edited numerous textbooks for the organization.

This expert has more than 30 years of experience in academia and industry specifically relating to mine design, planning, and optimization. He earned his undergraduate and masters degrees at Ghana University of Science & Technology, and University of Zambia. He also earned his PhD in mining engineering from the University of Alberta. He is a member of such prestigious societies as the American Society of Civil Engineers and is an advisory council member for the Mine Safety and Health Research council.

This highly qualified mining and MSHA compliance expert has over 20 years of professional experience. He earned his BS in human resources from Geneva College. He is a certified safety professional and an associate in risk management. Additionally, this expert is a member of the American Society of Safety Engineers. Formerly, he has served as the corporate safety director of the Florence Mining Company, and deputy administrator, chief of safety and health, and senior mine safety and health specialist at the Mine Safety and Health Administration. Currently, this expert is the president and consultant of a mining safety and training consultancy in Virginia.
